Chocolate-Covered, Gut-Healthy Snacks You’ll Want in Your Freezer All Summer
If you’ve been looking for a sweet treat that actually does something for your body — here it is. These Frozen Seaberry Smoothie Bites are little cubes of creamy yogurt blended with fermented sea buckthorn juice, aromatic ginger and clean vanilla protein powder, then dipped in chocolate for a finish that’s more dessert than supplement.
They’re easy to make, easy to freeze, and way too easy to love. Whether you’re trying to eat more functional foods, sneak in more protein, or just keep your kids out of the granola bar stash — these are a win.
🌿 Why Fermented Sea Buckthorn Juice?
Sea buckthorn berries are tiny orange powerhouses rich in:
💛 Omega 7 fatty acids (great for skin and gut lining)
🍊 More vitamin C than an orange
🧬 Antioxidants and polyphenols that help fight inflammation
By using fermented sea buckthorn juice in these bites, you get a bonus: beneficial bacteria that support gut health. The fermentation softens the tang of the juice and adds a layer of complexity to the flavour — almost citrusy with a probiotic twist.
💪 Why Add Protein Powder?
There are many good quality, clean, plant-based vanilla blends out there -use your preferred brand to give each bite:
A smooth vanilla backbone that complements the fruit
A satisfying, creamy texture
Extra satiety and muscle-supporting power
Adding protein makes these not just snacks, but functional fuel: they work as a post-workout refresher, a 3 p.m. pick-me-up, or a way to make your dessert feel more like self-care than a sugar crash.
👶 Perfect for Kids (and Adults Who Snack Like Them)
These Frozen Smoothie Bites are creamy, fruity, and lightly sweet — everything a good frozen treat should be. But thanks to their blend of yogurt, fermented juice, and plant-based protein, they’re more than just a treat:
✅ Gut-friendly
✅ Rich in vitamins and antioxidants
✅ Balanced with protein for energy and fullness
There are plenty of frozen snacks on the market, but few give you this much value in every bite: probiotics, plant protein, omega fats, and no junk. These Frozen Seaberry Smoothie Bites are your sweet spot between function and indulgence — and they’re ready when you are.
Bonus: kids love dipping them in chocolate — a great way to get little hands involved in the kitchen.
